Q. What is the maximum allowed
file size?
A. 1000 Megabytes (1048576000 bytes to be precise)
We encourage users to upload smaller files when
possible, it makes it easier for downloaders on slow
connections.
When uploading more than one file, the limit is per
file, not the total for multiple files.
Q. How many files can I upload?
A. As many as you want :)
Q. Are there any download
limits?
A. Our bandwidth is shared between all users on first
come first serve basis, things might be slower at peak
times.
Registered users are given priority over users who are
not logged in.
Download accelerators such as FlashGet are allowed if
you wish to pause and resume! but may be limited to few
concurrent connecitons per user.
Currently all the file servers are in Netherlands, users
closer to the servers should get faster speeds, in
theory.
Each Download Ticket expires after 24 hours.
reCaptcha challenge might be shown if multiple downloads
are detected in short time in order to prevent abuse of
the service, sorry :(
* premium users get direct download, no ads or reCaptcha
Q. Can I resume downloads?
A. Yes.
Q. How long are the uploaded
files kept on the system?
A. Provided the file is not breaking our terms of
service or the copyright policy then the file is auto
removed:
* files uploaded by guest users
o 1 month after last download for files under 100MB in
size
o 1 week after last download for files larger than
100MB.
* files uploaded by registered users
o 12 months after last download for files under 50MB in
size
o 8 months after last download for files between 50MB
and 100MB
o 4 months after last download for files between 100MB
and 300MB
o 2 months after last download for files between 300MB
and 600MB
o 1 month after last download for files larger than
600MB.
* files uploaded by premium users
o excluded from expiry
As you can see the system is setup to encourage users to
register and to encourage them to split large files,
making life easier for downloaders.
Q. Do I have to install
anything to download?
A. No you don't have to install anything to be able to
use this site unlike other filehosting site who force
toolbars or spyware on their users.
But make sure you have a modern enough browser to make
the most of this site (and internet in general).
Q. I got an error message
during upload / download, what should I do?
A. Contact support and please provide details such as
download link and your browser make. |
